Colour in solution is a major parameter of sugar quality. The traditional determination of colour in the laboratory is time-consuming and costly. It has very limited value for process control, because the sugar reaches the silo long before the colour of samples has been determined in the laboratory.

Fully Automatic

 

The Neltec ColourQ 2100 is an in-line colorimeter for automatic determination of sugar colour in solution in ICUMSA units (Methods GS2/3-9 (2000) or GS2/3-10 (1998)). Every few seconds the instrument takes and displays new measurement. It can measure wet or dry crystals, and take measurements from belt, screw, or shaking conveyors.
